Paraeducators perform a variety of tasks. This position works closely with teachers and other staff members as part of a team in supporting student learning. Paraeducators provide instructional and/or non-interactional activities to help students who need extra support. They often work one-on-one with students inside and outside the classroom.
Paraeducators are assigned to a specific role. These include:

*Staff are eligible for benefits if they are contracted for 630 or more hours per year.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school completion or equivalent; and
- Two years of post-secondary preparation or an associate鈥檚 degree;
- 72 college quarter or 48 college semester credits (100 level or above); or
- Successful completion of the ETS ParaPro Assessment test.
