Bellingham Public Schools strives to provide a free, public education of the highest quality for all students. Buying school supplies \u2014 in addition to the many other fees associated with school and activities \u2014 is a financial hardship for many families. Our community generously supports our schools in numerous ways, and so much is already asked of parents related to fundraising and fees. Our schools will purchase the supplies students need for learning, as we do with books and other materials.<\/p>\n

Elementary School:<\/strong><\/p>\n Middle School:<\/strong><\/p>\n High School:<\/strong><\/p>\n The main purpose of this\u00a0initiative is to reduce expenses for\u00a0families.\u00a0\u00a0Therefore, we ask that\u00a0families only bring the supplies\u00a0requested.\u00a0\u00a0Families and community\u00a0organizations that want to help are\u00a0encouraged to make a monetary\u00a0donation to the Bellingham Public\u00a0Schools Foundation<\/a> in lieu of\u00a0purchasing supplies for a school. This helps ensure equity for students\u00a0by avoiding an abundance of supplies\u00a0at one school and not enough at\u00a0another.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Why do we provide school supplies?
