A Message from Superintendent Greg Baker
Dear Silver Beach families,
I want to share a leadership update with you.
I am excited to announce that Jen Mallett will be the next principal of Silver Beach Elementary.
Ms. Mallett is currently the assistant principal of Parkview Elementary and also served as Parkview鈥檚 interim principal for about half the 2024-25 school year while the principal was on leave. Ms. Mallett will transition to her new role over the summer.
Ms. Mallett brings varied experience in Special Education, early childhood and elementary-aged children. She has worked as a teacher and dean throughout our district since 2011, including positions at Sunnyland, Happy Valley, Birchwood and Parkview. She has also been our summer school principal for the past two years.
Ms. Mallett recently earned a master鈥檚 degree and administrative credentials from Western Washington University. She has certificates in Special Education, Early Childhood Special Education and Early Childhood Education as well as a bachelor鈥檚 degree in sociology. She is also proficient in American Sign Language.
Ms. Mallett is an experienced educator who brings intelligence and curiosity to this role. She is passionate about serving all students and is looking forward to cultivating relationships and engaging with students, staff and families at Silver Beach.
