It is our aim to develop students who are critical thinkers and problem-solvers, effective communicators, leaders, collaborators, team players, respectful and compassionate humans. Our schools accomplish this by providing high quality instruction in every classroom, every day. In addition to the areas outlined below, Teaching and Learning manages visual and performing arts, physical education, middle school athletics, home school and the summer school program.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/online-learning-bvl\/\">Bellingham Virtual Learning &#8211; Online Learning<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/families\/academics\/\">Curriculum\u00a0<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/early-childhood-education\/\">Early Childhood Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/highly-capable-learners-hcl\/\">Highly Capable Learners<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/multilingual-learners\/\">Multilingual Learners<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/families\/academics\/assessments\/\">Research and Assessment<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/special-education\/\">Special Education<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/programs\/title-learning-assistance-program-lap\/\">Title I\/LAP<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/bellinghamschools.org\/about\/departments\/teaching-and-learning\/wellness\/\">Wellness<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The deputy superintendent and the assistant superintendents of Teaching and Learning supervise administrators of these offices and programs, as well as principals.
