Summer Food Program 2024 begins Monday, June 24; Food Bank hours

Bellingham Public Schools will offer a summer food program for children during summer break 2024. Meals will be available at no charge to children who are 18 years of age and younger and those students up to age 21 in Community Transitions and other district programs.

The dates, times and locations for summer 2024 are:

Birchwood Elementary School, 3200 Pinewood Avenue
Monday to Thursday, July 1 to July 25 (closed July 4)
Free breakfast will be served from鈥8:45 to 9:15 a.m.
Free lunch will be served from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Shuksan Middle School, 2717 Alderwood Avenue
Monday to Thursday, July 1 to August 1 (closed July 4)
Free breakfast will be served from鈥8:30 to 9 a.m.
Free lunch will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Options High School, 2015 Franklin Street
Monday to Thursday, June 24 to August 1 (closed July 4)
Breakfast will be served from鈥10 to 10:30 a.m.

Food Bank locations and times

In addition to these summer food locations in our school cafeterias, if you live in Bellingham and need additional food support, the鈥痠s here to help. Anyone living in Bellingham can visit the food bank. There is no need to sign up in advance.聽The main food bank, located at 1824 Ellis Street, is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.聽A satellite food bank is available from 3 to 6 p.m. on Tuesdays at Christ the King community church parking lot at 4173 Meridian Street.聽If you have a question, have food to drop off, or want to make a donation to the food bank, please email聽info@bellinghamfoodbank.org.
